Six pictures of 3-digit numbers in base-ten blocks: hundreds flats, tens rods and ones cubes, all drawn to the same scale. Children write how many of each and the number they make. Six to a page keeps the blocks big enough to count.

Ideas for using these sheets

  • Count by hundreds first, then by tens, then by ones: 200, 240, 243.
  • Ask what number is shown when there are no rods at all, and why it needs a 0.
  • Call out a number and have children draw its blocks on the back of the sheet.

Every setting can be changed above before you print, and “New problems” makes a fresh sheet as often as you like.
